FILM EDITING
DPL supports picture editorial with editing rooms and both
non-linear video and digital sound editing equipment. Our widely recognized
innovative post-production methodologies and expertise are available to help
with your film's needs.
We offer a suite of turn-key editing rooms in North
Hollywood, along with Avid Film Composers, Final Cut HD and traditional editing
equipment rental. We can provide editors and we stock needed editing
expendables for our clients.
SOUND EDITING
DPL has digital audio workstations, along with peripheral
equipment and sound editing rooms available for rental. We also collaborate
with larger facilities for larger projects.
SCREENING ROOMS
Digital 5.1 in our main mix room is a unique space that
functions as a mixing room, a recording studio, and an intimate screening room
with HD capable projector. The room
comfortably seats 12 people.
DPL's re-recording stage doubles as a insert stage and
screening room, equipped with a HD 24p Camera, Lighting package and scrim.
Dailies and all release print picture and sound formats, along with Betacam
presentations, are supported. This casual room seats approximately 25
people. DPL offers space,
equipment and talent for feature film post-production needs.
We provide a turn-key suite of picture editing rooms. The
suite is available with a client's choice of furnishings phones, FAX, copier,
digital film editing equipment and other cutting necessities.
We maintain A/V suites for precision editing and other
editorially driven transfers, comprehensive sound and video dubbing
capabilities, editorial supplies and expendables, and sound editing and design
services.
Downstairs is a large room with excellent acoustics and PA
system. The stage doubles as a recording and foley studio.
We offer a complete re-recording stage set, a facility that
has produced widely recognized and respected soundtracks.
If you are shooting and or posting in Los Angeles, DPL is
ready to support your needs.
SOUND MIXING
DPL offers several options for sound mixing. Mixes for
smaller home viewing projects like DVD commentaries and documentary soundtracks
are produced in our smaller studios. Soundtracks for feature films are handled
in our larger mix stage, where legendary and award-winning work continues to be
produced.
Main Mix A is an editing, design and 5.1 mixing room driven
by a digital mixing board, recording to ProTools, Logic, Digital Performer, and
most other platforms and working with video picture sources. A wide array of
digital and analog outboard gear and recorders are available to deliver desired
results.
DPL's re-recording stage is located in North Hollywood. The control rooms are configured with
analog and digital mixing board, as well as most software options,
offering digital and analog recording,
digital audio workstations, and a wide complement of outboard equipment support
the work. High-speed projection and digital video picture sources are both
options.
